Members can volunteer through the following

  • Chapter Boards

    The PPPC currently has 7 Chapter Boards: Alberta, Atlantic, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. These Chapters are an integral part of the Association, providing the local membership with the vehicles and support necessary to facilitate the Mission of the PPPC. Chapter board members implement their leadership skills, by organizing activities unique to their regional needs, by providing networking opportunities and by supporting National events and initiatives. A key responsibility of these Chapters is to gather and forward member feed-back to the National Board of Directors.

  • Speaking Opportunities

    PPPC is always looking for new and exciting speakers to share their experiences and knowledge of the industry. Members can volunteer their time and educate fellow PPPC members on different areas of expertise, at various PPPC events throughout the year.

  • Ambassador Program

    The PPPC Ambassador Program is designed to train promotional products professionals on how to make presentations to business groups about the power of promotional products and the importance of distributors as effective marketing resources. The objective is to educate buyers and potential buyers, and create an awareness of promotional products as a marketing medium starting at the community level.

  • The National Board of Directors

    The PPPC National Board of Directors are a dedicated group of individuals that have a great understanding and knowledge of the promotional products industry. Through their expertise and passion for the Association, they are a guiding force and provide the leadership required to develop the economic interests of the participants within the Promotional Product Professionals of Canada.

    All applicants must undergo a Nomination process and embody the Qualities & Characteristics of an effective board member.

  • Advisory Committees

    Advisory Committees are a group of member representatives that provide valuable information to assist the Board Committees. These committees allow individuals to be involved in an advisory capacity and contribute their expertise and knowledge on topics related to the industry, without having to attend meetings.

    COMMUNICATIONS

    Publications & Advertising

    Provides informed opinion that will assist the Board of Directors in the decision making process and the staff in publishing the PPPC publications/communications including the IDEA BOOK, the MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY as well as all other media supported by PPPC; and, determining revenue levels from sales and advertising.

    MARKETING

    Industry Awareness, Community Outreach

    Provides informed opinion that will assist the Board of Directors in the decision making process and the staff in initiating and administering programs for Marketing and Industry Awareness and Community Help projects. Also included are the gathering and administering of data collection and analysis activities, including market research.

    AWARDS

    Awards

    Provides informed opinion that will assist the Board of Directors in the decision making process and the staff in initiating and administering the PPPC IMAGE AWARD program, including the soliciting of entries, the judging and the Awards Show.

    PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

    Education CAS/MAS Certification & Speakers' Bureau

    Provides informed opinion that will assist the Board of Directors in the decision making process and the staff in initiating and administering all aspects of member, non-member and public Industry education offered by the Association and the CAS/MAS Certification Process.

    EVENTS

    Conventions, Trade Shows & Meetings

    Provides informed opinion that will assist the Board of Directors in the decision making process and the staff in initiating and developing creative techniques to maximize show objectives, specifically for the National Convention, TOPS &TOPS Plus and any other related event supported by PPPC. This Committee also gives direction in the organization of other trade shows and Association meetings.

    MEMBER RELATIONS

    Member Relations

    Provides informed opinion that will assist the Board of Directors in the decision making process and the staff in initiating and administering activities to maintain and build membership and in pursuing new and improved methods and services with which the Association can better serve the needs of its members. This includes the General Benefits Partnership Agreement liaison with PPPC Strategic Partners and PPPC Regional Chapters.

    INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

    Information & Product Sourcing & In-House IT

    Provides informed opinion that will assist the Board of Directors in the decision making process and the staff in identifying, prioritizing, initiating and administering programs and services related to technology. This includes in- house management systems and enabling the members of the Association to be at the forefront of information technology through an Information site and a Product Sourcing site on the Internet.
